Birkshaw Building Conservation was started in England in 1990 by Master Stonemason Anthony Miller. After a successful 10 years in business, Anthony emigrated to the United States and formed the company here. Anthony has specialized in the preservation and conservation of historic structures for most of his adult life working throughout the United Kingdom and the United States. This experience has built a deep understanding and passion for the conservation and preservation of our historic buildings and the legacy and pride from which they were erected.
Birkshaw Building Conservation draws on a wide pool of artisans specifically selected for world class skill and artistry. These artisans are brought together specifically with each individual project in mind, ensuring the best teams are assembled for specific tasks involved.
Since emigrating to the United States, Anthony Miller has worked as Masonry Superintendent on the preservation projects of many important structures including:
- The Lakefront Airport, New Orleans, Louisiana
- Waveland Civic Center, Waveland, Mississippi
- The Saint Hotel, New Orleans, Louisiana
- The Smithsonian Arts and Industries Building, Washington D.C.
- The Van Antwerp Building, Mobile, Alabama
He now is using his great experience to once again lead his own company in this specialist field.
